We recenlty launched a new online configurator that runs off an internal server using the same IP address we exlcuded to avoid internal traffic impacting our traffic analytics. The problem is - it also blocks the online confgurator analytics. Does anyone know of a work around in Hubspot to allow analytics to be tracked for the configurator, but not open the flood gates for everything else using the same IP address?
Could you possibly add a UTM to the configurator that can then be logged in HubSpot or Google Analytics as something you would like to track?
From what I understand of your issue, it seems that adding a UTM could pull that information and would allow you to leave the IP exclusion while still capturing the data you want.
The only issue I could forsee is that HubSpot might become somewhat confused with this so that reporting might have to be done in Google Analytics and referenced alongside the HubSpot data.
I'd love to know if that works & I hope it solves your problem!
It sounds like you created your own analytics software, am I understanding that properly? Would you be able to provide more information on it's setup? Are you using software such as Google to gather analytics?
The more screenshots and information you can include on your current setup, the better the community can assist with advice. Thank you!
Cheers,
Kristen
