Custom Report

I need help figuing out how to make a customer report to show the following:

1. How many leads are we getting each month and the source of those leads: website, Thomasnet, D2P lead lists, etc. I think I have this figured out

2. What is the result of those leads: dead, current prospect, quoted, sold, etc.

3. What is the average dollar value of a lead (sales from those leads).

Both of these reports should be possible using the custom report builder. My main question here is, where do you currently store the source info for your leads? Is the source being recorded properly, and if so, into what property?
