Create a report based on when property was changed

Hi,

I'm looking to create a bar chart report with the months on the X-axis showing the data based on what date the property was filled in/changed.

Is that possible?

Currently the "create date" is linked to the contact (as the property I'm looking at is on a contact level) but i need this to be linked to the time the property was filled in.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @AHofmann,

This requires a Professional subscription and additional custom date property:

  1. Create custom date property
  2. Create workflow
  3. Enroll records when property value is known
  4. Use 'Set property value' workflow action to set the value of the property from step 1 to the date of the step
  5. Turn on workflow and only enroll records who meet the criteria after turning on

You can then use this property in your reports.

This would only work going forward. If you want history, you would have to export the property history and re-import it into the new date property: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/export-property-history#export-a-property-s-historical-data

Without a Professional or Enterprise subscription, this is not possible.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

If we run this workflow can we backdate contacts so the new date property is completed with information that we already completed with the correct dates or will it only happen when the workflow has been run?
