Contacts with no site visits but with page views?

Occasional Contributor

Hi everyone,

How is this possible?

Is it because they're coming from direct traffic? (probably a Facebook ad)

Thank you!

Hey @KickingSnares

This resource may be a good starting point.  Usually, a visitor is someone who visits your site, tracked by the cookie placed in their browser by the HubSpot tracking code installed on your site. A single visitor can have multiple visits to your site.

Instead, a page view is when a page on your site is loaded by a browser. HubSpot counts a page view every time the HubSpot tracking code is loaded.

Please take in consideration HubSpot counts a page view every time the tracking code is loaded, if a single page is refreshed multiple times by the same visitor, each refresh would count as its own page view.

I hope this helps.

Thank you

Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your reply.

I still don't understand how someone can view pages and not count as a website visitor. The Hubspot tracking code is being activated for the pages views, why not for the website visits?

Best wishes,

Diogo
