Contact Activity downloads

Hello,

I was checking activities of our contacts under contacts and couldn't see any download activity. Is it possible to see download a file activty in Hubspot or should we implement something to see this information?

What we basically try to achieve is if someone downloads a file from our website, we would like to see this information in contact level?

Hi @06401. On your website, is the download part of a conversion path? With HubSpot's landing pages, CTAs, and forms, you can see all of that activity at the contact record. If you use a HubSpot CTA for example for the "download here" button, you'll see that in the contact record. You can also see form completions, so if the content is behind a simple form, you'll also see that.

@danmoyle, thanks for your solution but I'm looking for a solution - I have a landing page that includes the PDF thumbnail image and it redirects the contacts to PDF file download URL which is uploaded in file manager.

I want to know which contacts have downloaded the PDF from the landing page. Is there any way I can get the data for the contacts who have taken the download action on the landing page? I'm new to HubSpot and looking for the solution from last week.

Hi @KaKaRoT. Yes, with HubSpot analytics you can create a list that shows any contacts who have viewed specific page URLs, and also clicked on specific elements (either through the CTA clicks or possible behavioral events).

Hello , 

If your Contact is created with the help of Hubspot Forms or by filling out Hubspot CTA then It will shows all contact activity under timeline section of contact. Another option is you caan create spearate timeline event for file download.

Thank you for your answer. We don't use Hubspot Landing pages so I believe it's not possible to create a HubSpot CTA and embedd it to our CMS tool to track it?

@06401 you can create a HubSpot CTA and embed that in your non-HubSpot website, tracking views and clicks at the very least. As long as you've also added the HubSpot tracking code to your site, that is.
