Dear all,
I recently set Google Tag Manager on my website adding also, among the tools, my Hubspot tracking code:
I tried to see a Preview but I got the following error:
I got in contact with my WP-theme support and they detected the following conflict, which seems to be generated by Hubspot form:
Does anyone know how to solve, please?
Thank you very much!
Laura

Hi @laupac
Previewing your Tag Manager changes is best practise to avoid errors on your live site, but in cases where this isn't working and your changes and potential errors aren't likely to have serious consequences, you can always publish your changes to your live site. If you do have issues you can then rollback to your previous version of your Tag Manager container https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6107163?hl=en#

Hi @laupac
There are potentially a few different things going on here:
First, the 'Tag Assistant could not connect to a tag...' error, I found this Google support thread that suggests this could be to do with the new debugging functionality in Google Tag Manager:
'This issue is caused by Chrome putting background tabs to sleep. We have a fix that will roll out soon. In the meantime, a workaround is to open the two tabs in two different browser windows, e.g. put them side by side.'
Another user suggested 'Just tried removing tag assistant plugin from browser, its now working for me
The page will open in new window but you can see the timeout issue will be no more'
I also noted that you are using Cookiebot. I know in the past when using automatic cookie blocking and tag manager users have not been able to use tag manager's preview functionality: https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009192739/comments/360000628779
Lastly, the ReferenceError: hbspt is not defined suggests the shell.js script in your embedded form is not loading. This could be happening for a number of reasons including an error in the form embed code or Cookiebot interfering with the loading of your form script. Take a look at this thread, the user there reported they solved the issue by directly inserting the embed code instead of using the WordPress Hubspot plugin shortcode.

Dear Matthew,
Thank you for your deep solution research. I tried the first 3 tips, I don't have a tag assistant plugin on my browser and I also tried to remove cookiebot from Google Tag Manager and inserting it directly on my header. Nothing changed. Is this Preview so important or can I get over it?
For the ReferenceError I'm investigating with my theme provider.
Thank you so far
