I am looking to compare two different data sets on the same chart by choosing the 'combination' chart. The data sets:
Activity: emails sent to the client after date X
Tickets: tickets from email sources created after date X
Problem: Some emails can be associated with tickets. When I filter the tickets by their source, it also filters my 'email' activities. Is it possible to filter the two objects independently from each other?
Hi @MSerano! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊
There are a couple of primary things to look for when your report is not filtering as expected. The first would be which object is set as the Primary Data Source in the report. Based on your summary, I think that you should make Activities your Primary Object if they're not all associated with a Ticket. You can check these settings by clicking on 'edit data sources' in the top left of your report:
Second, with your filters, you should be able to choose which object they come from. Check out my sidebar when I search for source-- it shows a category for the Activity properties and a category for Ticket properties:
Make sure your data sources are prioritized properly and then check which object you are using the source from!
If you still have issues after verifying these things, can you attach some screenshots of your report configuration?
Best, Kennedy

I have now the correct count of activities but not the correct count of tickets.
See below the filters I set up :
I think the issue comes from the fact that tickets are filtered according to activity type (email) but as I explained in my first message, even if the source of the ticket is "Email", it doesn't mean that this ticket is linked to any email, it could be empty.
I would like to be able to filter the tickets independently from the activities. Do you think it's possible ?
Hey @MSerano -- in this case, without 100% of the tickets/activities being associated, this may be better displayed with two separate reports.
