We understand that you want more control over how your HubSpot-hosted content appears in Google search results. Specifying how your content appears within Google Search results lets you experiment to improve click-through-rate, and adjust your content based on the context in which people are viewing it.
HubSpot used to automatically sets the post HTML title (what appears in search results and in the browser tab) to be the same as the main heading (H1) that appears above the post body, with limited ability to override this behavior. With today's update, You now have the ability to set a blog HTML title separate from the title of the post.
How does it work?
When editing a blog post...
Go to the Settings tab
Enter the title you want to appear as the main heading (H1) in the "Blog title" field
If you want this title to also appear as the title in search results, no further action is needed
If you want a different title to appear in search results, click the "Customize blog's page title" link and enter the desired title in the Page title field that appears.
This update is now live for all Marketing Hub Professional & Enterprise customers, as well as users of HubSpot CMS.
