SSL Now Included for All Marketing Customers

Google recently rolled-out a Chrome update which started to flag pages that contain a form, but are not SSL-enabled, as "not secure." Because Chrome has approximately 47% of the browser market share, this update impacts millions of visitors, and marketers across the web.

In a HubSpot consumer study we found this impact can be significant as well. 82% of people recently told us they would stop browsing a page if they found it was not secure.

At HubSpot, we believe security shouldn't be a luxury. Today, we're happy to share that standard SSL is now included for all Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, and Enterprise customers and has automatically been turned on. This change ensures that your traffic and leads are not affected by this Google Chrome update, and your visitors information remains safe from potential hackers.

In addition, Google has publicly said that SSL can be a tie-breaker in search rankings making it important for SEO as well.

We highly recommend checking your site for mixed content warnings, and then turning on the "Require HTTPS" setting so that all traffic utilizes a secure connection with your content and you are prepared for any future Google updates as well.

This change also brings with it a new SSL setup process. When you connect a domain to HubSpot it will be provisioned for SSL within 10 minutes and enabled. No waiting 3+ weeks just to have SSL setup while your traffic and leads are affected.

Standard SSL is now live to all Marketing Hub accounts.
