[Now Live] Required Two-Factor Authentication for Enterprise Accounts

What is it?

Starting on July 29th, 2022, users on HubSpot Enterprise accounts are required to set up 2FA before logging into their accounts.

Why does it matter?

As our highest value customer tier, Enterprise customers have a ton of important customer data to protect. Two-factor authentication (2FA) remains the best, most effective way to ensure that online accounts, including HubSpot accounts, are safe from bad actors. For that reason, HubSpot began requiring 2FA for Enterprise customers in June of 2022. Users on Enterprise accounts were given 30 days to set up 2FA before the requirement would take effect. Today, that requirement goes into effect to keep HubSpot data secure.

How does it work?

From now on, users logging into an Enterprise account will be asked to set up 2FA before continuing. Once they have, they'll be prompted to confirm their login attempt via 2FA to ensure that the login attempt is legitimate. This adds an extra layer of security to access to your Enterprise HubSpot account.

Please note that if your portal uses the required single sign-on feature, only users exempt from the SSO requirement will be required to use 2FA in HubSpot.
