[Now Live] Forced Required Fields When Creating a Contact in for Gmail and Outlook

What is it?
Now live is the ability for your HubSpot admin to set forced required fields for creating a new contact on the HubSpot sidebar in Gmail and Outlook.

Why is it important?
As a sales manager, when you look at your HubSpot CRM contacts, you want to know that each contact always has enough information. Missing pieces of information on a contact record means stopping progress for your sales reps and slowing down the sales cycle. That’s what forced required fields are for - an easy way to make sure that within each new contact record you always have the full context needed in order to perform your sales right.

We’ve had this ability in HubSpot CRM for a while. But with today’s announcement, forced required fields within your HubSpot CRM are now reflected in your Gmail and Outlook sidebar too.

How does it work?
When you create a new contact in your Gmail or Outlook sidebar, you will now see forced required fields indicated with a red asterisk:


Who gets it?
Available to all HubSpot users with the Google Chrome Extension or Outlook Plug-in.

What language is it in?
All languages supported by HubSpot.
