[Now Live] Deal Personalization Tokens in Templates and Snippets
What is it? Now live is the ability to use deal personalization tokens in email templates and snippets.
Why is it important? Personalization tokens are a great way to make your emails feel more, well, personal. In sales, that personal touch is what helps you build a meaningful relationship with your leads. Previously, you were only able to use contact and company personalization tokens in sales email Templates and Snippets. But what about deals?
With deal personalization tokens, you can easily bring fuller context to your emails with all of your favorite deal properties in your email templates and snippets, including deal amounts, deal close dates, custom deal properties, and more. No more manual searching, let the deal personalization tokens do the hard work for you -- saving you time while still building those meaningful relationships.
How does it work? When editing an email template, hit “Token” and select “Deal” in the dropdown:
Choose the deal properties you want to reference in your email:
Note: In order for deal tokens to populate, the contact you are emailing must have an associated deal in HubSpot. If there are multiple deals associated with the contact in question, HubSpot will populate information from the most recently created deal.
How can I used this in workflows? Deal tokens are only valid in deal-based workflows. In the Classic editor:
Create or edit a deal-based workflow.
Create or edit a Send email action within this workflow. Click create a new email to open up an email in the classic editor. If an email already exists and is eligible (i.e. it does not tell you its using tokens not compatible with this workflow type) then click the open in new tab icon to open the email up in the editor. You will have access to deal tokens in either scenario.
In the drag & drop editor, click create email, select drag and drop and select automated email.
Who gets it? This update is now in live available to all Sales Hub Starter and Professional users.
What language is it in? All languages supported by HubSpot.
