[Live] Terms of Service URL & Policies for Payments

What is it?

HubSpot payments users can now include a link to their terms of service, specify cancellation and refund policies, as well as optionally require that buyers agree to their terms when completing a purchase.

 

Why does it matter?

Accepting a seller's terms is an important step in the purchase process. HubSpot payments merchants need a simple, easy way to ensure their buyers are aware of and agree to the terms of their purchase. Additionally, new compliance rules and regulations require disclosing specific policies such as cancellation and refunds for certain types of businesses.

 

How does it work?

From within the Checkout tab of Payment Settings, HubSpot payments users can enter a link to their terms of service, a cancellation policy, and/or refund policy. Optionally, users can also require that a buyer must select a checkbox to acknowledge the terms before completing the purchase.

When enabled, buyers will see new terms of service agreement text below the Pay button with a hyperlink that opens the URL entered in Settings.
