History card on a payment object captures the sequential events that a payment goes through. It aims to bring further transparency into the lifecycle of a payment processed in HubSpot.
Why does it matter?
Previously, the status on the payment object reflected the latest payment status. However, it did not capture additional context- what or why something happened with a payment. With the history card, you can now answer questions such as:
When was the refund processed?
Why did the payment failed?
Why was a partial refund requested?
How does it work?
You can now see a new card called HISTORY on the Payment object's detail panel. This card captures the sequence of events that roll up to the latest status of a payment.
Please note: history includes only payments processed in the last 6 months. Any payment collected by HubSpot In 2021 or early 2022 might not have a history card on them.
Who gets it?
History card on a payment object is available to all enrolled HubSpot payments users.
