[In Beta] Create Contacts from a Form Submission without an Email Address

What is it?

You now have the option to create contacts from forms without an email address.

Why is it important?
An email address has always been used as the unique identifier for each contact within HubSpot. This hasn’t changed, but what if you don’t require an email address when adding contacts into your CRM? Maybe you work in an industry like agriculture where your customers might not rely on a business email address, or your customers mainly communicate over the phone, and you only want to collect their phone numbers. You’ve been able to create contacts without an email address manually, or through an import for a long time now, and now you can do the same through the forms tool.

How does it work?
Within the forms tool, you will now be able to delete the email field from any form. If you do so, the following banner will appear within the form editor.

Navigating to settings, you’ll be able to toggle on or off the option to create contacts off of form submissions without an email address

Note: You will still need to disable cookie tracking on a form without an email field to allow subsequent submissions to create new contacts. This is described in this knowledge article.

Who Gets it?
This is currently in Beta. It will be progressively rolled out to more portals until it is live in all portals in the coming months.

What language is it in?
All languages supported by HubSpot.
