Conversations Live Chat Widget has a New Look Optimized for the Mobile Experience

The live chat widget (including the bot experience) now has a new look and feel. With this update, the live chat widget is now optimized for the mobile and tablet experience and updated to an overall sleeker design. These changes are purely cosmetic and will have no impact on current functionality.

More often now than ever, your site visitors are engaging on their mobile devices. That means you need to be able to provide a delightful experience to your visitors not only on the desktop, but on mobile devices as well. Previously, the mobile live chat widget had a few kinks -- which made some of you want to turn off live chat for mobile altogether. With today’s updates, we’re one step closer to making the overall HubSpot mobile experience a truly delightful one.

And here’s a bonus -- this fresh look benefits more than the mobile users. You will now see the sleeker, refreshed live chat widget on the desktop experience as well.

Here are the subtle changes we made that make a big difference to our customers:
  • Optimized for desktop, mobile, and tablet
  • Header now shows the avatar(s) or company logo inside the widget
  • Mobile now shows the widget full screen and includes an “X” button within view

You do not need to do anything for this change -- your live chat widgets will inherit the new look and feel automatically and us available to all HubSpot users.
