Editing Task Due Date Calendar vs. Drop Down List

Can anyone explain why some tasks display a calendar when editing the due date and others show a drop down list of future timeframes (i.e. 2 business days, etc.)? I can't seem to find a commonality or explanation anywhere.

Hi @EMangrum4 ,

My best answer would be because it allows for a quick grab. The second picture you shared is very similar to a reminder in the email tool, it gives commonly used reminder times when sending emails, but if you were to scroll down you could choose a custom date as well.

Thanks for the thoughts. I definitely understand why that option appears, but it is not consistent. Both of these were taken from a task, in the space where the due date is edited. I just can't make heads or tails of why it varies.
