hello @JGarberi Do you minds sending a screenshot of the error. You can also contact the HubSpot support to tell you where (which HubSpot hub id) are you connected to to resolve this the fastest for you.
Hi @JGarberi , this error usually means the Outlook 365 mailbox is already connected to another HubSpot account, not necessarily the one you’re currently logged into.
A mailbox can only be connected to one HubSpot portal at a time, so HubSpot blocks the connection even if you’re an admin in your current account.
The “you need administrator permissions” message is often misleading. In most cases, the real blocker is on the Microsoft side. Your Outlook tenant may require Global Admin or Exchange Admin consent to approve the HubSpot email app, even if you’re a Super Admin inside HubSpot.
Microsoft and HubSpot admin roles are separate, and being an admin in HubSpot alone is not always enough to approve the OAuth permissions. To move forward, I’d suggest two checks. First, confirm whether this mailbox is connected to another HubSpot portal and disconnect it there.
HubSpot Support can tell you exactly which portal ID the inbox is currently linked to. Second, ask your Microsoft 365 admin to review the Enterprise Applications section in Entra ID and confirm that HubSpot has the required consent for this user.
If you’re still blocked after that, contacting HubSpot Support is usually the fastest way, since they can see both the mailbox association and the permission error on their side. Hope this helps clarify what’s going on.
