Plugin issue: Your inbox is not connected to your Hubspot Account.

Hi all,

 

I'm new to HubSpot and am struggling with the Outlook Sales plugin (desktop version 3.0.1.316) on my Office 365 Outlook Desktop application (version 2404 Build 17531.20152).  It happily connects and copies outbound email to my HubSpot account, but persistently refuses to connect to my inbox.

 

I have three email accounts (completely different name & domain) attached to my Outlook, and when I look at the Hubspot plugin logs, it seems like it's getting confused with the multiple accounts - giving some sort of notfound error.  I can't see any way to select just a single Outlook inbox for the plugin, and am hoping someone else might have fixed this issue?

Hey @ScottM22, thank you for posting in our Community!

 

Make sure that your HubSpot account is properly set up to connect with your Outlook inbox. Go to your HubSpot settings and verify that your email accounts are correctly configured. Also, try setting your primary email account as the default in Outlook. Sometimes, making one account the default can help plugins understand which inbox to connect to.

 

Uninstall the HubSpot Outlook Sales plugin and then reinstall it. This can sometimes resolve issues caused by initial configuration problems.

I want to share this knowledge with more troubleshooting steps here

Hi Pam,

 

Many thanks for your quick reply to my post, and also the various suggestions.  Unfortunately it's not helped.

 

I have double and triple checked everything, trying to see if there's anything not properly set up but it all seems fine. I tried uninstalling the plug-in, as you suggested, including restarting the computer, just to be sure, before reinstalling. Still no different.

 

I've attached some screenshots demonstrating what I'm seeing:

First the Hubspot plugin, showing the inbox not connected but it's signed into the Hubspot account.  I can't see any way to configure anything on the Outlook account side.

The accounts I have connected to my copy of outlook. The "default" account is the one connected to my Hubspot account.

Hey @ScottM22, Thanks for the update and the screenshots. Since you’ve already tried reinstalling the plugin and checked all the setup, it’s possible that the issue lies with the connection between Outlook and HubSpot. I’d recommend ensuring that your Outlook inbox is fully integrated by going to Settings > Integrations in HubSpot, and checking if the inbox is properly connected there. Also, ensure the email account permissions in Outlook allow HubSpot to access it. If everything looks good but the issue persists, it might be worth reaching out to HubSpot support for deeper troubleshooting. Let me know how it goes!
