There is a new Outlook client for Windows, but it no longer supports COM Plug-ins; only these new Web "add-ins." Will HubSpot eventually support the new Outlook client?
Are there any updates or plans for integration with the new Outlook in the near or far term? This will greatly impact our reporting capabilities, insights, and effectiveness of HubSpot.
Hello @DianaGomez , with Inbound on the horizon, do you know if there are some news coming about the support of the New Outlook with the Hubspot extension ?
Is this still unresolved? Our organization will be greatly impacted and we will see a decline in efficiency and use of HS from our Sales reps if this is not resolved. There are many issues with the new Outlook that are concerns, but I hope that HS has been working on this since 2023! Please advise with any updates.
I had to go back to old Outlook, as it would not stay pinned or logged in and I have numerous emails not logged which was a huge issue. Please resolve this!!!
For what it is worth, it worked in the new Outlook for almost a month. Then the end of July, it stopped working again. I would like to be notified when this is working again, as I prefer the new Outlook and this is the only plug in not working. Others at my organization are also anxious for this to be fixed ASAP!
Unfortunately, HubSpot is no longer compatible with the new desktop versions of Outlook, as explained in our article here. Please keep an eye on that article for any updates or changes that may happen.
I understand the COM add-in won't be updated, but are you saying the web add-in should work in the new desktop Outlook? It seems to work sometimes, but then randomly stops working. Or are you suggesting that we should use the browser version of Outlook daily? If you don't find a solution for new desktop Outlook to work, I fear you will be replaced at many organizations! It is imperative this work and auto-log emails for us to use HubSpot at all.
Sadly, the new Outlook breaks the way Outlook extensions work, and our extension is pretty much unusable in the New Outlook. We've been working with Microsoft to find methods of working around the changes they made, but we've been so far unable to find a working solution with them.
At the moment, if you'd like to use the HubSpot Sales extension in Outlook, it'll require that you stick with the old Outlook experience.
Should there be any changes in this matter, I will promptly inform you.
