Logging emails that you are copied on

SOLVE

I am having an issue logging emails that I am copied on. Say for instance an email is sent from someone in my company to one of my contacts and I am copied on it. The Outlook Hubspot Sales extension does not give me an option to log the email. If the email was sent to my contact and I was in the "To" as well, it allows me to log the email. Is there a setting I am missing? Currently I either have to forward the email to Hubspot or download it and Log it manually which doesnt allow me to respond or get the subsequent emails.

Logging emails that you are copied on

SOLVE

Hi @TimBNO ,

Is there a way for the person in your company sending the email to ensure that their Hubspot extension is working? This way, it would log the email correctly.

Alternatively, as you've said, it has to be an email forward. What you can do to simplify things would be to create a rule within your Outlook account for emails where you are CC'd to be forwarded automatically onto Hubspot via the dedicated forward email. The only thing to be aware of is emails that are not supposed to be logged can be logged. I'd recommend you making sure that internal emails are excluded from logging into the portal anyway to prevent confidential information being logged in Hubspot.

On a separate note, I tried with my own extension for an email I was CC'd into and when I replied to that, the email I sent was logged as expected.

I hope that helps,

Eli
