I've noticed when I have the outlook plugin pinned and I reply to an email in Outlook, as soon as I hit 'reply' it opens a new email (as it should). If I start typing, about 3-4 seconds later eveything I typed deletes....it is almost as if outlook does not recognize that I started drafting an email for a few seconds. This only occurs when using the plugin. It is incredibly frustrating, to the point I unpinned the extension, but then inevitably forget to manually choose the plugin on occassion so my emails are not tracked.
I investigated this issue and apparently is something other HubSpot community members have pointed out as well, the reason behind the issue is basically that when the HubSpot Outlook add-in is pinned, Outlook keeps refreshing the add-in pane every time you open or load an email thread. The refresh also triggers an internal “message reload,” which momentarily wipes the draft — including what you typed.
There are a few things you can try, just like trying to update Outlook (File → Office Account → Update Now)
and HubSpot sales extension (uninstall and install back).
Or just simply unpin the sales extension and make sure that in the sales extension settings you have the options to track and log all emails by default.
