Capturing attachments

SOLVE

It seems that when creating a deal from the Outlook HubSpot sidebar, the attachments from the email are not carried over into the deal, nor when simply associating and email with a contact.

My problem is, even if the association is not automatic, I can't figure out HOW to associate attachments with a newly created deal (short of saving the attachements and reuploading them)

Am i missing something?

Thanks !

Ah sorry let me try and re-find them. They basically echo your troubles of emails logging attachments, and/or to the correct Objects in HubSpot. And in most cases pointing the finger to Microsoft for causing the issues.

Are you using the Outlook 'HubSpot Sales Office 365 add-in'? If not please move over to this as support for the Outlook Desktop Plugin from HubSpot is ending.

Many thanks,

Hey @matthew-aire thanks for this.

Unfortunately, it does seem that the check box is indeed checked: users can log attachments ...

ALso, my apologies but it seems the threads you reference haven't been included in your note ?

Thanks!

Hi @PAtlan

It does seem to be an issue with HubSpot and Outlook for correctly associating files with relevant objects in HubSpot. However let's see if the below can help you.

With that being said it would be worth double-checking your logging & tracking settings for attachments to ensure they are turned-on: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/turn-off-one-to-one-email-tracking-or-attachment-loggi...

Additionally to automate associations of attachments between objects in HubSpot there are some marketplace apps that could help you here, and can be automed via workflows. One example of such apps is File Attachment Automation.

Please let me know if you have any questions on the above.

Many thanks,
