Cannot connect personal inbox, error message says mailbox already connected as a shared mailbox

SOLVE

Hi all,

We use Office 365 and the error message says "Email address is already connected as a shared inbox. This inbox must be removed before connecting as a personal inbox.

SHARED_INBOX_INVALID_DOWNGRADE"

I connected my personal inbox years ago during testing while we were integrating HubSpot, now i need to track my emails and use templates in sequences. 

Do i need to remove myself as a user and re-add myself or is there another way without losing all my current data?

Please help!

Hi @JMackenzie 

 

Shared inbox and personal inbox are two different things.

 

Ideally you should never connect a personal inbox as a shared inbox in HubSpot. 

 

In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.

 

In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Inbox > Inboxes and remove your email account. Then connecting it as a personal email should work.

Shared inbox and personal inbox are two different things.

Hi! Im running into this same issue, except there are no emails linked. It says I do, but there isn't.
