Cannot Login to Hubspot in Outlook

I can login to Hubspot with my browser (Chrome) but I cannot login to Hubspot in Outlook.  I've followed the posted procedures.  Emptied caches, updated windows and outlook. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and everytime I try to login I get this message...

 

There was a problem logging you in.
Sorry. There was an issue logging you in to your HubSpot account. This could be due to a web browser issue. Please clear your browser cache and cookies, disable all browser extensions like ad blockers, and try again. If you're still having issues logging in, please read this article.
 
I followed the above instruction and the ones in the article to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated.  Running Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013.

Hey @expres12 

 

Could you please advise if you still having this issue? If so, could you please try the following:

 

  • Can you try logging into your HubSpot account using a private browser session/new incognito window. If you are able to login in this environment than its likely a caching issue. You will then need to clear your cache following this article then log out and log back in.
  • If that does not work, can I have you try a different browser to see if this is browser-specific?
  • Certain extensions have been known to directly impact some of the tools within HubSpot. I would recommend disabling your browser extensions one by one to see if any of them are causing a backend conflict. Could you please disable your extensions? You can find here how to do this.

If the issue persists, could you please send me a screenshot?

We have the same exact issue.  Plugin for Outlook 2013.  

I don't see how it's really a browser issue or where using incognito mode would/should affect anything.  Even with Chrome closed, we still can't log into HubSpot via the Sidekick Outlook plug in app using the email address and password which is correct.

We've tried all of the steps listed like clearing cache (Chrome), uninstalling/reinstalling the Outlook plugin, adding hubspot and getsidekick sites to Trusted sites in IE, and adding those same hubspot and getsidekick sites to Chrome's allowed popups and allowed cookies itself, and the issue still persists.

could you please reset IE settings in this doc https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17441/windows-internet-explorer-change-reset-settings.? If it still doesn't resolve the issue, could you please send me a screenshot with the error?

Resetting IE settings didn't fix the issue.

As tbrooks mentioned, this isn't a browser issue as I can login on Chrome but not in Outlook. I cleared the caches in both Chrome and IE and reset the IE setting to default. All to no avail.

I am having the same problem. Not a browser issue. I can't login to the plugin.

Thank you for the screenshot. Based on this, it seems you are trying to login using Internet Explorer. Could you please try to login using Chrome?

In order to investigate this issue could you please try the following steps:

Im not using any browsers......im trying to logon via the addin in outlook.  I open Outlook and hubspot prompts for a logon.

cant login via extension but I can login via browser.

Hello @tsherpa 

 

For Outlook 2016, you will need to install the desktop add-in.

Could you please remove your current extension, and install the Outlook desktop add-in (more information here)

 

And let us know if after this changes you are able to log in.
