New freelancer using Hubspot to manage clients

SOLVE

Hi all,

I'm new here and I'm a freelance web designer.
I don't understand which one is the best Hubspot solution for me.
I want to create multiple websites for each client I have. Every client has a different business category (food, travel, landing page, agency, online store). Which will be the best Hubspot plan for me?

If you have any questions, let me know.

Many thanks.

Hi @BennyB , welcome to the HubSpot community, and HubSpot, too! It won't take long and you'll realize what a great choice it was!

For your own HubSpot account, you can definitely start with the free CRM, but if you think you want to be a Solutions Provider or Solutions Partner, you'll likely want to start with CMS Hub Starter or CMS Hub Pro for your own website (there are other Hub options that meet the criteria if you don't want to move your website right away).

You can also setup a free sandbox account for developers, which I highly recommend, even if you will be using themes and not doing your own dev. (wasn't sure if "web designer" meant design only or design & dev).

Also recommend taking the CMS for Marketers from HubSpot Academy as an intro to the platform.

I'm sure the others will have tons of advice and ideas, just wanted to kick things off and say hello!

Feel free to reach out if you have CMS, dev, or theme questions, I'm happy to help 🙂

Hi @BennyB and welcome to HubLandia! 😀

I'll mostly just second what @Jnix284 said. Start with Free CRM for you, and maybe CMS Starter so you can have a website. Then look at becoming a partner so you can sell HubSpot to your clients. Each site you build for your clients will be its own entity, and will either need its own HubSpot portal, or another CMS.

And I'll echo the Academy recommendation. A couple additional certifications I'd suggest are:

  • Inbound
  • HubSpot Marketing Software
  • HubSpot Sales Software

I hope that helps!

Hello @kvlschaefer,

Thank you for tagging me in.

So @BennyB, if you are thinking of developing a website, then you should go for the HubSpot CMS Hub Plans.

Also, for the CRM part, you can create the HubSpot Test account, and then you can choose your favorite software from Sales, Service, or Marketing.

You can learn How to create different Test accounts Here.

Also, if you want my team can help you in creating a website with HubSpot CMS and implementation of HubSpot.

@BennyB Generally your clients will have their own HubSpot's or CMS's and then add you as a user so you can work using their tools. You would be totally fine with a free account just for you 🙂
