Manage Access

SOLVE

Hello Team,

I was hoping somoene may have the answer to this question. How can we manage access on the mobile app? To be more clear on HubSpot webpage you are able to manage access by pipeline, project, etc.. and the sales reps have access to their own contacts and no one elses. However on the mobile app the sales rep can view another sales reps contacts without intention they are just able to see them. Please help

Thank you for clarifying this @BérangèreL, it's been a long time since this was posted, based on my response I might've been a little skeptical but didn't think to question the validity of the reply and wasn't actively managing user permissions to realize this wasn't accurate, especially with the rate that new features are released.

I can also confirm now that there aren't any mobile app settings that differ from the user & team settings within the desktop app - what I'm having a tough time verifying is if the initial issue still persists, that a user in the mobile app has permissions to see contacts/deals beyond what they're assigned and what's visible on desktop? Is this still a known issue?

Hello @KvalenciaJAR ,

To manage access on the HubSpot mobile app, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your HubSpot account and click on "Settings" in the main menu.
  2. In the left-hand sidebar, click on "Users & Teams" and select the user you want to manage access for.
  3. Scroll down to the "Mobile App" section and click on "Edit" to manage the user's mobile app access.
  4. In the "Mobile App" settings, you can choose which pipelines and projects the user has access to on the mobile app.
  5. You can also choose whether the user can access other team members' contacts on the mobile app by selecting the appropriate option in the "Contacts" section.

By setting these access controls, you can ensure that each sales rep only has access to the contacts and information they need on the mobile app.

I hope this will help you

Hi @SNigam,

Thank you for your reply!

Hi @KvalenciaJAR, @TGG1, @Jnix284 I'd like to clarify and explain that these permissions/the "mobile app" section/setting actually do not exist at the moment in the HubSpot tool.

Just like @TGG1, when looking into the settings, I don't see such option ("mobile app" section).

@SNigam, could you please share a screenshot (without confidential information) of this setting you are refering to?

How did you find this setting?

@SNigam, if you’re writing responses with the help of AI-tools, please disclose that the text was assisted by AI.

Thank you.

Best,
Bérangère

This is very helpful @SNigam, I thought these settings defaulted to match the desktop settings.

Hi @KvalenciaJAR  I haven't run into this before, are you saying that your user permissions are not being carried across to the app?
