Auto correct shut off in “notes” within a deal

SOLVE

I am wondering why all of a sudden when typing in a note within a deal, auto correct is no longer working. I have been using the app for years on my iPhone, and all of a sudden two days ago auto correct has somehow shut off. It’s very frustrating as I use the app daily and am always making notes within deals, would really love to get it fixed! It’s working on my phone in general, however in Hubspot notes specifically - auto correct is not working.

I hope this message finds you well. After invertigating I want to inform you about a recent change we made regarding autocorrect for the Notes feature in HubSpot.

 

In November, we decided to intentionally disable autocorrect for Notes. This decision was made due to an issue wherein autocorrect was causing problems with mentions. Specifically, when users would tag someone, autocorrect would interfere and break the mention functionality, rendering it ineffective.

 

By disabling autocorrect for Notes, we aim to ensure that mentions are functioning properly and without any disruptions. We understand that autocorrect can be a helpful feature, but in this case, it was unfortunately causing more harm than good.

hi there! Unfortunately that's not the case. I have auto correct turned on my phone, and it's working in every way on my iPhone - except for when typing in a note within the HubSpot app.

Unfortunately I strongly believe this was a poor decision on Hubspots part. I own a business and I use HubSpot daily to input all of my orders for my business. The notes within deals is where all information for each customers order is stored, and having auto correct shut off has caused a significant amount of delays when creating notes within deals, and therefore a lot of frustrating. I sincerely hope HubSpot will reconsider and turn auto correct back on within notes. As someone who has been using the mobile app for several years now, this is a very big inconvenience having it shut off.
