text notification integration with hubspot CRM?

SOLVE

Hello,

We are planning to migrate from zoho CRM to hubspot. Mainly due to lack of integration flexibilities.

I want to send a notification message for each deal stage change in CRM. And those notification messages must go to the contact phone no. Please tell me if it is possible or not.

Note: I want to integrate msg91 with hubspot.

text notification integration with hubspot CRM?

SOLVE

Hi @techyuga17

Depends on what you are trying to achieve.

Workflows, a HubSpot Marketing Pro feature, support the option to send internal SMS messages. You can specify the number or use a HubSpot user account to determine who gets the message.

Since you have to specify the number or user in the workflow, this could not be used to send the message to the contact, if that is what you actually require.

There is no direct integration between HubSpot and msg91 currently  - API integration may be possible.

Zapier can be used to connect HubSpot to a number of SMS service providers plus @Samantha_Alford's company has come up with a clever solution that can use webhooks to send text message from within workflows: https://inboundaddons.com/inbound-sms/

Hope that helps 🙂

text notification integration with hubspot CRM?

SOLVE

Thanks for the mention @Phil_Vallender!  Apologies for not seeing this till now.  We've been flat out building some cool new functionaity into the text messaging integration (like personalisation that until now wasn't possible when sending texts from workflows due to HubSpot not having personalisation tokens in the Set a Contact Property action).

Re Zapier, that is good as you say for connecting to different text message providers.  However it doesn't have a trigger for a deal stage change or particular deal stage.  @techyuga17, you could get around it by creating a custom property that populates via a workflow when the deal stage changes, but then you'd need some smarts to work out which text to send based on which deal stage.  Alternatively you'd have to set up a custom property for each deal stage and populate each of those through the workflow which could then trigger the Zap.

Anything is certainly possible with enough imagination and effort.  We decided that was all too hard for the average marketer and requires setting up workflows and zaps which is double the effort, and is why we created the integration designed with HubSpot use in mind.

In our case, here's how you'd do it with Inbound SMS and HubSpot Marketing Pro workflows:

1) Create a workflow that has the enrollment criteria as the first deal stage (eg Expressed Interest in [your product]).

2) Add the Set a Contact Property action and select the SMS Text Message property. Insert whatever text message you'd send at that stage.

3) Add a Trigger a Webhook action and put in our URL to send the text message.

4) You could then either clone that workflow for each deal stage or build out your workflow for the subsequent deal stages.  Either way it's about a 2 minute job per deal stage (if that).

Below is an image of a workflow I just created for Inbound SMS based on this requirement.  I hope this helps.Send Text Messages when Deal Stage is Expressed Interest in Inbound SMSSend Text Messages when Deal Stage is Expressed Interest in Inbound SMS

Cheers,

Sam

text notification integration with hubspot CRM?

Hello, @techyuga17

Have you already consider how to migrate your Zoho CRM data with the relations preserved?

You can try automated migration tool that Data2CRM offers for Zoho>Hubspot migration

During this process, up to 20 records from each module will be transferred to your Hubspot account with the relations preserved!

You can map fields, select where specific field from Zoho will go on the Hubspot, also you can get rid of the fields that have littler your business processes.

Hope above is useful for you!
