Single Email Inbox to Specific Slack

Hello!

I'm trying to connect an email address to a specific Slack channel.

These are the steps & actions I've taken:
1. Connect email to Hubspot 'Inbox'
2. Created a 'Contact' with Hubspot forwarding email '@...hubspot-inbox.com'
3. Associated 'Contact' with a 'Company'
4. Associated 'Company' with Slack channel

The problem seems to be that I'm not receiving any email in the 'Contact' itself, please see screenshot: https://prnt.sc/1zrcv3k

If the emails would appear here I assume the Slack integration would be working.

What to do? Many thanks!

Got it, just set it up with Zapier and works perfectly, thanks a bunch Karsten!

Looks like we need the paid version of Slack to set this up, if there is any way to achieve this in Hubspot that would be awesome!

Hi @fabianps,

Unfortunately, I don't think the set up with the conversation inbox will work, if it does, it likely won't be reliable and could have some unintended effects ( = activities not being associated correctly to records). Conversations are by default not associated with the receiving address but the sending address.

You could also look into other ways of integrating email and Slack, e.g. Zapier, e.g. for Gmail here: https://zapier.com/apps/slack/integrations/gmail
