If there is a scenario where we are using an out the box field (standard SF field) and a new custom field on one of the objects, what would be the best practice? Both Labels are the same but the API Names and values dffer.
Example:
Lead - StandardField- Label Custom Field
Type Picklist / Dropdown Select
Values X,Y,Z
Contact - Standard_Field__c - Label Custom Field
Values A,B,C,D,E,F,G
Type Picklist / Dropdown Select
Can somone outline which apporach would be best? Either 2 hubspot properties with 2 field mappings, or 1 consolidated hubspot property (Values A,B,C,D,E,F,C,X,Y,Z) with 2 mappings?
Thanks, @jennysowyrda. We talked about this previously here, where I advocated for multiple mappings. I don't think mapping multiple fields to the same HubSpot property is manageable in a long term sense, but I'd be interested in hearing from someone who has managed to make a setup like that work.
Brad Mampe, Salesforce Analyst, Fidelity I'm probably wrong. I may not be right about that.
