How would you go about clearing out the Salesforce Lead ID within Hubspot?
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. And the SF Lead ID field can't be edited.
The reason is we have the same email address in the lead and contact object. The Lead Object doesn't convert so it's a bit of a island unconnected to Opportunities and Accounts. We need the email address to sync to the SF Contact object.
I've edited settings for the integration user on the lead object but need to clear out the current SF lead ID. Any ideas?
You might need to reach out to Hubspot support for some help with this because as this integration is built by them, they may have advanced options not available to users.
What I can say is that in your integration settings, if you are no longer using the lead object, then you can go to Integration --> Sync Settings --> Hubspot -> Salesforce and then for creation, make sure that you have selected When a Hubspot contact is created or updated, Create a Contact in Salesforce. Then for the Salesforce -> Hubspot settings, make sure that you disable any updating of Leads, and set rules to only update contacts in Hubspot.
