Prevent Salesforce contacts from being created in HubSpot

SOLVE

Could someone please confirm or deny that when contacts are synced from Salesforce to HubSpot, the only way to stop certain Salesforce contacts from being created in HubSpot is via Salesforce Selective Sync?  There's nothing that can be done within HubSpot to stop these contacts from being created?

@AppleJuice confirmed! The only way to control what's created in HubSpot from Salesforce is via Selective Sync. Meaning, whatever the integration user (the user connecting HubSpot and Salesforce) can see in Salesforce will be created in HubSpot. You can hide certain records or fields via sharing rules & profiles, roles, & permission sets in Salesforce to control what's sent to HubSpot.

We walk through how to create the integration user for standard & selective sync in module 3 of our free HubSpot Salesforce integration course.
