Outlook side kick error - 'access denied'

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to set up the sidekick addon for outlook, however i'm getting this error when attempting to install:

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.DownloadAddIn(TimeSpan timeout)
at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.InstallAddIn()

 

I have looked around the forum however i can't find anyone else with this problem.

I've tried the basic fixes (running as admin, turning TUC off), however neither of those have worked. 

 

Any advice?

Hi Milkamae,

 

Thank you for your response. I have seen this list before but unfortunately, none of the errors listed are to do with the error i'm experiencing. I have tried a few of the fixes, such as deleting the roaming 2.0 folder, but it still has no effect.

 

I'm unsure of what to do now.

Seems to be a documented issue, in another thread here.  It's a few weeks old, but no updates or even comments...
