Integrating Salesforce Lead Stage with HubSpot's Lead Status Propert

Hi, we have questions regarding the salesforce integration in hubspot. Currently, our Sales team is working on Salesforce and the Marketing team on HubSpot. While we do have the SF integration which allows us to transfer a lead from our website to Salesforce, we do not have a mechanism of reconciling the changes in the Lead Stage in Salesforce with Lead Status in Hubspot.

Question: Is it possible that a change in the lead stage of a contact in Salesforce triggers the same change in the lead status of the same lead in HubSpot? This would allow us to have separate workflows for separate stages of the lead status. Currently, we have custom fields in Salesforce, designed to match the needs of our sales team. For a perfect integration, would we have to make similar fields for the lead status in Hubspot as well?

@HarisAzeem,

It has been years since I have used the Integration. However, you should be able to create a HubSpot property with the same name and dropdown options. Then, you would go to HubSpot Integrations > Sales Force > Edit/Settings. From there, you should be able to choose to sync those two fields and have Sales Force update in HubSpot.

Hi @HarisAzeem! You can customize the field options for lead status to match the lead stage you have in Salesforce! Just make sure the API name in Salesforce matches the internal value in HubSpot when creating the options.

If you’d like to keep them separately, you can create a separate drop down and add it to the integration in HubSpot by going to connected apps > Salesforce > Contacts > add field mapping.

Make sure your lead stage field is a picklist in Salesforce and a drop down select in Salesforce.

If you’re looking to sync the same field to the lead & contact object (so it sticks when the lead converts), create two field mapping in HubSpot - 1 to the field on the contact object and 1 to the field on the lead object.
