If not on Sync to Salesforce list, will a workflow create the sync

SOLVE

I have our sync to salesforce list set up for Form Fills and if Salesforce ID is known.  If we load a list from an event, and create a workflow that adds leads to a Salesforce campaign, will they sync or do they have to be on the Salesforce sync list?

Hi @MWelborn

Unfortunately, a contact won't sync unless and until it is in the Salesforce inclusion list. Usually, contacts won't sync to Salesforce if they:

  • don't have an email address
  • are not in your Salesforce inclusion list
  • don't satisfy the validation rules set up in Salesforce.

And, in case a HubSpot contact meets the sync criteria, and yet it doesn't sync, check the Salesforce Sync card for errors. In your HubSpot account,

  • Go to Contacts > Contacts.
  • Select the contact name
  • The Salesforce Sync card will display any error(s) blocking the contact from syncing to Salesforce.
  • Click on View error detail for more information on the error and how to fix it.

Refer to this article to know how you can create a Salesforce inclusion list. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/salesforce/create-a-salesforce-inclusion-list

Hope this helps!

Is there a way to do this without selecting a contact? It's impossible to know which contacts have email address errors (not including the error file at import) unless someone inquires about specific contact.

Hi @MWelborn

Your event leads will not sync unless they are on the inclusion list. Your workflow that is setting the Salesforce campaign will most likely return this error:

Hope this helps.
