Hubspot sync error with Salesforce

SOLVE

My company-type dropdown property isn't syncing with SF company-type picklist object.

 

Here it shows that HS company type is mapped to SF single-line text company type

But I'm actually mapping it to a picklist on SF:

It also shows that I have another company type - single line text field, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. My SF company type is a picklist, HS company type is dropdown. Can someone help me understand what's going on? I also cannot delete the object and re-create it, it'll affect alot of contacts

SOLVE

The Contact object is where your second field is coming from with regards to the Hubspot integration. Why, it suddenly disconnected, I'm not entirely sure. Are there any orphaned values that were left over that you might need to workflow correct? You may also want to raise a Hubspot ticket to see if there's something they can see from the backend that we are unable to see from the front.

What are you seeing on the Salesforce side when you lookup this Company Type Account field in Salesforce?  Are you seeing the 2 fields or just 1?

Under leads in object manager > company type --> there's only 1 field called "company type" that is a picklist

That's the Lead Object. Is the Lead Object also mapped to an Account Object field upon conversion to a Contact/Account that is a single line text and not a picklist?

Hey Ben, yes the account "company type" object is also the same picklist as lead "company type"

Does the field also exist on the Contact Object or is that field Lead-->Account only? Trying to make sure it's not also a single-line text reference field or anything like that on another object that Hubspot might see.

all good! The field exists on contact object as well as lead and account. 

Lead object --> picklist

contact object --> formula field looking up values on account level

Account object --> same picklist as lead object

 

It was working fine until last weekend, when we added 2 new dropdown values on Sf & HS both, everything broke

Yup did that, waiting for them to respond. So, as a best practice for custom fields - do you suggest creating only one field on lead object type and mapping contact and acc objects to lead?
