How to connect Salesforce custom object with 1:N relationship with Account

resolver

Hi Hubspot Team,

In our Salesforce system we have a custom object with 1:N relationship with the Account Object. We are looking for insights / solutions into how a data model like this can be synched with Hubspot's native integration to the Company Object

Thanks in advance.

How to connect Salesforce custom object with 1:N relationship with Account

resolver

Hi @Vijay83

So, as you presumably already know, the HubSpot connector cannot see any data on custom objects in Salesforce, nor can you create custom objects in HubSpot currently and sync them using any other system.

The neatest solution right now, I think, is to use process builder on the Salesforce side to flatten the information from the custom object down to the account object. In many cases this requires create what some people call a roll-up field that stores the most recent value of a property from the various custom objects - similar to the Recent Conversion property in HubSpot. Alternatively, you might be able to append options in a multichecklist (thought the options have to be created first) or concatenate some free text to hold multiple versions of the value.

Hope this helps.

How to connect Salesforce custom object with 1:N relationship with Account

Vijay,

If you need to preserve the 1:N relationship on the HubSpot side, you can use the Deal object to store your cusom object data from Salesforce. A company can have many deals, s in HubSpot, so the relationship type is the same. Consider upgrading to Sales Hub Pro for multiple pipelines and deal stage workflows to trigger email automation from your custom objects.
