GoToWebinar Integration and Survey responses

resolver

I've used the native HubSpot GoToWebinar Integration for years and I'm generally a big fan of it. But there's one glaring omission that I can't believe has never been addressed:

Surveys

When someone attends a GoToWebinar, their session time, their poll responses, their chat and Q&A all make it onto the HubSpot contacts timeline. Which is awesome for sales teams.

However, if you use the Survey feature in GoToWebinar to take an attendee survey after the event, those Survey responses don't come back into HubSpot.

The only way to retrieve is to manually run a report in GoToWebinar. And there's no easy way to import survey responses into HubSpot either.

This is enormously problematic, especially because GoToWebinar doesn't seem to have a way to email you when surveys are completed.

So if someone attends your webinar and three days later, clicks the survey link in the follow-up email and types "please call me, I'm ready to buy," you won't see those survey responses unless you remember to download the Survey report in GoToWebinar.

Any workarounds? Or idea why ~7+ years after the HubSpot GoToWebinar integration went live this problem still exists?

Hi!

I just looked into it and survey answers is an available endpoint in the gtw api

https://goto-developer.logmeininc.com/content/gotowebinar-api-reference-v2

So if you have a developer in your team you could add these answers to the contact timeline in HS

If you don't have a developer but are familiar with http request and json you could use Integromat integration with HubSpot.

https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/apps/productivity/connector/integromat

My firm also offer that kind of custom integration services if you are interested

Don't forget to mark my answer as a solution if you are satisfied or ask me anything else if you still have questions

Has anyone found a good way to solve this problem? I would like to avoid to use a thrid party connector. Best would be if the standard connector from HubSpot would make triggering workflow actions on GTW surveys possible. Alternatively I would like to know if anyone has tried to build a custom integration.
