"Has Ever Been" for Dates

We use HubSpot to track event attendance.

Sometimes, we want to go back and create a list based on attendance at a particular event combined with other fields. While the system tracks previous values of the Date field, the "Has Ever Been" filter is not available for the Date type.

This seems like a real hole in the List functionality.

Hi @JoeRando,

The best place for these kinds of requests is the HubSpot Ideas section of the community: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

The product team reviews these requests based on their popularity.

In terms of tracking event attendance, I'm a big fan of maintaining a multiple checkboxes property that tracks which events (+ dates) a contact has attended – maybe that's helpful and could be a workaround to what you're trying to achieve.

Best regards!

Although it's not available in your plan, Hubspot Enterprise Hubs have access to custom data objects where you can build this into a CDO to track attendance or interactions with events over time. What you are asking for essentially is a CDO because of how databases work. In a database structure you are only able to see what value is in that field. In order to track history, you would need to create a second database table that tracks history and links it with that particular field.

Alternatively you may be able to build something out with campaigns and use static lists at the time of the events and use campaign reporting.

Thank you, Ben. Sadly, Marketing Hub Enterprise is not in the cards for us now - too pricey.
