learn the workflows

Hi all,

I am new to HubSpot. I want to practice workflows and I know I can sign up for 30 days trial. But I don't have email list now.

How can I get a sample list of contacts to practice?

Visit https://www.generatedata.com/ and generate a list of fake contacts using a format something like this and export this as a .csv file:

Then import those contacts into Hubspot.

I would advise against sending emails to these test contacts via your workflows as there's no guarantee these email addresses don't exist, and if even they don't exist you will get a lot of bounces which, if it happens a lot, could cause your Hubspot marketing email functionality to be suspended. Maybe just create yourself as a contact if you want to test sending email via a workflow.

Thanks for quick reply. If sending emails is not a good idea as you suggest, what is the alternative to test my workflows and learn them?

Hi @newbie19 

Just create a few different email addresses (set up a few test gmail accounts) that you own and add yourself as a contact. 

e.g.
First Name, Last Name, Email
Test Test newbie19@gmail.com

Test Test2 newbie192@gmail.com

Test Test3 newbie193@gmail.com
