How exactly are you documenting who the primary contact is?
Assuming that you're doing this through an association label, you would have to create a list of contacts and create a company filter on that contact list. For example, filter for contacts who are associated with a company whose Create date is known (this would include all companies). Once you add a company filter, you can specify the association label - in this case your filter for the primary contact.
If primary contact status is a contact property, simply look it up under the list filter category for Contact properties.
