a/b testing sequence in a workflow

解決

Hi, happy new year 🙂

I'm using an a/b testing email within a workflow.

Context: There are two types of promos and we want to measure which one works best. The following action in the workflow after the promo emails is an email reminder with the promo links again.

Question: can we condition reminder emails based on the a/b testing email promo campaign? Email a -> Reminder a
Email b -> Reminder b.

Appreciate any best practice, workaround, or advice.

Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

HI @ARivera03 ,

I just tested this in my own portal and it doesn't look like it's possible to use triggers or if/then criteria based on which version of an email is sent.

My suggestion would be to create two seperate emails (version A and version B) and have two seperate branches within the same workflow that you can move people through -- that way you'll be able to see which branch people take and which one is converting best.

^That's pretty high-level, so if you want to talk it through a bit more, please let me know!

Thanks Whitney! It's the option that I didn't want to go through. I want to leverage the a/b performance results but I found a possible way:

- When creating a/b testing email marketing, on the performance option, you can create a static list from each one of the versions. In the workflow, I just create two if/then branches based on the contacts on the 2 list.

Thanks again for your answer!
