Firstly, love that there's a Course object built into Hubspot. Super useful.
That being said, has anyone managed to create a workflow that automatically associates a Contact with a Course? I see the "Apply Association" action for Deals, Contacts, and Companies, but not yet for courses.
I'm trying to automatically associate a Contact to a Course (essentially enrolling them as a student) when their deal closes successfully.
@gilian - are you comfortable using the API? This is the easiest way to do it at the moment. You could either build that in to some Custom Code in workflows (if you have Ops Pro) or set up a webhook in Private Apps and get PowerAutomate to do it. We can help with that if you need it.
No I have been hoping HubSpot will update the associations functionality in workflows so this is simple to do. it does look possible via custom code, as the API docs have the association relationships in them (course:contact). Haven't spent energy in this direction yet - imagine its possible but it'd be the case I build it and HubSpot release it a day later

I agree. There's marketplace apps out there to help with associations from before the basic ones went native inside HubSpot so I can see where you are coming from. I wouldn't bother with it unless I had a client with that need right now, and then I would develop it for them.
We've done the same associating invoices to companies (for people syncing with Xero which only associates invoices with contacts) and also for associating custom objects (like billing events for revenue forecasting, or shipments for delivery forecasting).
These are a bit more specific so I can't see them coming soon, and the clients wanted them now anyway.
All the new Library Objects should surely be next on the list to add for HubSpot, but I wouldn't like to guess how far down the list they are. A bit niche for most folk.
No immediate need so I won't sweat it until the time comes.
I'm a bit gutted that we didn't see an 'events' object added - for event management. Lots of marketers would like to have that object on for events attended, events managed, associating contacts to them and the rest of it…
Have you thought about using the new Library Objects for other purposes than for what they were intended? 🤔
I've used the new Service object for time recording. You can add custom properties to the new objects and report on them. The only thing you can't change is the name of the object itself.
Surely this is almost like having 4 'free' custom objects. Workflows allow you to create records with them and edit properties. Everything apart from associate to them (as discussed above).

I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying the new Course object and that this data model is helpful! I'll share this positive feedback internally, thank you very much!
