We're starting an email marketing campaign, and set up a drip for engaged contacts. For example:
Marketing Email 1 is sent out (regular email)
A contact clicks link in the email
Contact receives 2nd marketing email (automated) in drip shortly after
We attempted to set this journey up via workflow prior to the first email going out so that everything is set up and ready to go. However, the email does not show up as an option in Workflows, which we're assuming is due to the first email not being 'published'/sent yet. This is slightly frustrating because we've done all this work to plan ahead and have everything ready to go, and we have to wait to execute the email drip.
Does anyone know if I'm missing something, or if there is a workaround to this? I find it very suprising that no one using HubSpot has tried to set up a drip campaign before with marketing emails? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Generally, I don't find this to be too big of a limitation. In your case, for example, you could send the first email as an automated email, then, within the same workflow, delay, branch to check for a click, and send the automated second email.
Have a great day!
