Hi, 

 

I'm currently having a few issues with a workflow I've set-up. 

 

I want to recieve an email notification when either a registered contact or a non-registered contact has visited our company webpage. 

 

I've tested it a few times and it doesn't seem to be working - please could you let me know the best steps to get this working.

Hi @HannahSarsfield,

 

Logging in the CRM would not have any effect here, contacts need to submit a form after accepting the cookies. Otherwise HubSpot cannot associate website activity with a contact record. (This is needed for a contact record to enroll into the workflow.) Could you please try accepting the cookies and submitting a form?

 

Does the page view show on your contact record activity stream when you test this?

 

For LinkedIn page views, it's not possible to send notifications.

This is what a workflow could look like, making sure that re-enrollment is enabled:

Could you specify what exactly isn't working? Could you confirm that the tracking code is installed?

Hi Karsten,

 

Yes it does.

 

I can see here that we have had lots of website and LinkedIn visitors, but they haven't been alerted to us via the workflows I set-up yet. Now that I have enabled the re-enrollment, will this trigger an alert when we next get a visitor?

Thanks for confirming!

 

Re-enrollment alone will not do that, re-enrollment would make sure that you get notifications repeatedly, not just once, for a contact.

 

Could you share a screenshot of your workflow?

 

Also, could you maybe test this on yourself, opening a page, accepting the cookies, waiting a bit and checking whether you enroll?

Hi @HannahSarsfield,

 

Re-enrollment would only work on a generic page view, not specified by the number of times. (It's not possible to meet the criterion of having viewed a page at least once... twice.)

 

So far this workflow looks good however. How have you tested this so far, what's making you think it's not working? Is there any activity in the History tab?

Hi @HannahSarsfield,

 

Could you specify how you tested this? For a contact to enroll, first of all they must be a contact in the CRM, they must have accepted the cookies, submitted a form and then viewed the page. Could you confirm all these criteria are met?

 

If yes, are they reflecting in the activity stream of the contact record?

Hey Karsten, 

 

I have checked it by logging myself as a contact into our CRM system, then going onto our webpage and accepting the cookies. 

 

After doing this a few times, I still haven't receieved an email alert  and it also wasn't on logged on the contact activity stream? 

 

What I ideally need is just an alert for when a contact visits our website and also a seperate alert when a contact has viewed our LinkedIn page?

 

I'm not sure if there is a simple step-by-step guide on how to set both of these up?
