Workflow Engagement for Opened/Clicked Emails

SOLVE

Hello,

I'm setting up an enrollment trigger in a workflow that is currently based off of Activity Type, but I'm having trouble finding the type of engagement I'm looking for. I was hoping to find something along the lines of "contact has opened email" and same for clicked, but the only one I see that's remotely related is "email sent to contact". What I'm trying to do is enroll any contact who has opened or clicked any email, without listing every single email which you'd do in Marketing Emails. I'm also not sure if the options I'm looking for are pre-built or if I would need to create them.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance!

Hey there,

I believe what you are looking for is the "email information" under contact properties. You could use the "last marketing email open date " option or "last marketing email clicked date" option and set the filter to "is known" and that would enroll anyone that has opened or clicked and email from you. Or you could get more creative and use specific date ranges, or specific email names etc.

I hope this helps.

Hi @lstemley , @OStrakaB , @Joe-Kelp , @AM8

We also had this problem of not being able to utilize contacts with mulitlpe engagements from all/a group of marketing email. I wanted to introduce you to Segment Builder, a HubSpot Marketplace App that solves for this.

Segment Builder allows you to create "Segments" of engaged contacts from individual or all marketing emails, Campaigns, Subscription Type, or a combination. You can specify a percentage (e.g. top 10% of openers) or a threshold (e.g. at least 3 clicks) , and the segment will continuously sync to HubSpot as a List, making it workable with all other parts of HubSpot.

Please do try it out for free, and I would love to hear your feedback if you have any.

Happy segmenting

Tom from Segment Builder

Hey Joe, this is helpful! What I don't see is how to filter based on the subject line of a specific marketing e-mail. It sounds like you said this should be possible?

Hi @Joe-Kelp , I'll give the options in Email Information a try. I think that will work for what I'm trying to do. Thanks for the help!

@lstemley: Great question!
Currently, it doesn't look like the option exists to enroll any contact who has opened or clicked any email, without listing every single email which you'd do in Marketing Emails.

You should post this in the ideas forum on the community

Hope this helps
Thank you.
