Workflow - Ability to Create Notes

Right now you only have the abilty to create tasks in workflows.
Other MA platforms allow you to merge fields and save into a note during autmation which is extremly handy for team members when viewing hisotry of activity.
For example someone fills out a form...you want all of that data in a single note so dont have to go look at each field...
Seems like a no brainer. Apart from making notes on progress, this would allow you to get around the inability to tag marketing emails against other objects in a workflow. Instead, simply add a note to the workflow that says 'refer to contact x for automated email sent in relation to this object'.
Thanks @Rezal , ideally we could just have that field display on the contact section of the deal (on the right hand side). Seems so bizarre that we can only display Name, Title, email and phone number. So many fields we have to copy over to the deal level... because all the qualification prospecting data is captured at the contact level.
@vc16 it might be a better idea to create a custom field for your linkedin urls and populate it there. It will be easier to find and you can even have it in the default deal view access it easily. If you have it as a note and there are multiple notes you might need to scroll to find it, whereas having it in a custom field would have a static location and you can even use workflows on it as well.
Agreed. After I send an automatic "Marketing Email" with some information including a Ticket Description, I'd like the system to leave a note with some info about that action...
Would agree that this functionality needs to be added to tickets. We occasionally get stuff where the ticket is moved automatically via workflow, and there isn't a good way to tell the rep on the ticket why it was moved. Yes we could send a mention, but that doesn't work if they aren't going to tackle the ticket immediately.
Upvote! Would be extremely helpful, especially if we are able to automate the note to be pinned at the same time. Look forward to seeing this in development!
Apart from the sales generaded by sales team, there are self applied customers that go straigh to end stage in a pipeline. But, for the record we still need to update the conatct/ deal owners (someone in the sales team) based on the customer's location etc. The sales person then need to be notified (possibly with a note in contact and deal) instructing them not to contact the customer as the business is already finalised. Communication channel for such cases is different.
I was looking to modify one of of our existing workflows to acheive this goal, and just realised 'Add note' feature is not available. Pretty frustating as it seems to be a basic.
This is exactly what I need right now! To alert our sales team of any issues on the accounts so they are aware, I wanted to automate this process to add a pinned note to the top of the record. Very surprised this isn't already a feature!
