I searched for this in the community and I didn't see a comment to upvote so I thought I'd add one.
There currently isn't the ability to add Goals in the settings for deal-based workflows, only contact-based workflows.
However we have a marketing automation email campaign set to send to contact based on deals that enroll in the workflow based on their deal stage. We've like to track as a success if that deal then moves to a closed/won deal stage after the contact associated to the deal enrolls in a workflow.
Is there any plan to incorporate Goals into Deal-Based workflows for better ROI reporting?
I'm planning on building a workaround custom report to show this but having the option to set a goal in a deal-based workflow would be WAY easier to show the success of the workflow.
