Set contact property with a personalization token

The idea is to fulfill a contact property called "Briefanrede" based on a contact property called "**bleep**" so for example:

if contact.**bleep** == m

contact.briefanrede == 'Sehr geehrter Herr {contact.nachname}'

Is something like this possible as workflow statement for "setting a contact property"?

Thank you for your help.

Hi @Roger

Yes, you can do this with a workflow using 'if/then' rules to test the contents of bleep and then the 'set contact property' rule for the next bit.

Hope this helps.

Hi Phil

First of all thank you very much. It was probabely not clear enough, I know the function itselfs very well, but the question was more on the "placeholder" to combine a text with the content of a datafield, like

'Sehr geehrter Herr {contact.nachname}'

Is this working? If not, do you have another idea, how to combine two datafields in one?

Thank's a lot.

Hi @Roger

I'm not sure I fully understand your iuse but:

You will not, I think, be able to use a workflow to combine two data points in one property.

However, it may be acceptable to have these two data points in seperate properties which are set by simialr conditions and then inserted in content consecutively, i.e. {salutation} {last name}.

Am I on the right track?
